Welcome to lookup.numbersring.com (the "Site"), a free phone number lookup service sponsored by NumbersRing. By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The service
The Site lets you enter a US or Canadian telephone number and returns publicly available carrier and number-portability information such as the current carrier, line type, rate center and port date. The information comes from third-party data sources and is provided for informational purposes only.
2. Usage limits
To keep the service free for everyone, the Site serves a limited number of lookups per day in total, and a limited number per visitor. When a limit is reached, lookups are paused until the next day. We may change these limits at any time without notice.
3. No automated access
The Site is intended for people using a web browser. You may not use scripts, bots, scrapers or any automated means to access the Site or submit lookups, and you may not attempt to work around the usage limits. We may block any traffic that appears to be automated.
4. Lawful use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not use the information to harass, stalk, threaten or defraud anyone, to send unsolicited messages, or in any way that violates telemarketing, privacy or telecommunications laws in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for how you use the results.
5. No resale
You may not resell, redistribute, or bundle data obtained from the Site into another product or service without our written permission.
6. Accuracy and availability
Number-portability data changes constantly and is supplied by third parties. We do not guarantee that results are accurate, complete or current, or that the Site will be available at any given time. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site, its operators and NumbersRing are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its results.
8. Privacy
We log the numbers looked up, the visitor's IP address and the time of each lookup so we can enforce usage limits, prevent abuse and improve the service. We do not sell this information. The Site uses no advertising cookies; sponsored placements link directly to NumbersRing.
9. Sponsorship
The Site is sponsored by NumbersRing. Sponsored links are clearly labelled. Following them takes you to a separate website with its own terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
